Main Gallery: CityArts Instructor Show
CityArts is home to over 35 instructors who bring their passion of art to students in Wichita. To coincide with Xtravaganza, the main gallery will transform into an exhibition for CityArts' talented instructors and their work.
Boardroom Gallery: "Body Narratives," works by Robyn Duarte-Specht
"My work utilizes the body as a vehicle for stories," Duarte-Specht said. "I navigate color and space to create abstract imagery that somehow originates from the body - bruises, scars, bacteria, etc. I'm using these images as a language and evidence to talk about human resilience, how we process trauma and how we recover from it. By investigating this imagery, I play with its' potential to exist as something beautiful, even cathartic."
Balcony & Main Hall Galleries: CityArts Student Show
CityArts' students are the backbone of the facility, and CityArts is honored to host a spectrum of creative artists in Wichita. The balcony and main hall galleries will feature work from sections of CityArts' classes, highlighting beautiful student pieces from all media.
